MergeNow Job Event: Build Your Future

Looking to land your first job or take the next step in your career? Join us at the Orangewood Foundation Drop-In Center on Friday, May 16, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM for a free, in-person career workshop hosted by Merge Opportunities.

Merge Opportunities is a nonprofit workforce development organization dedicated to empowering underserved community members, system-impacted individuals, and transitioning foster youth ages 18–28.

This interactive session is designed for young adults and will cover:

  • Resume Building: Craft a resume that highlights your strengths and experiences.

  • Interview Preparation: Learn how to confidently present yourself to potential employers.

  • Professional Communication: Develop skills to effectively communicate in the workplace.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to advance, this workshop offers practical tools and guidance to help you confidently enter and progress in the workforce. No need to register—just drop in and take the first step toward your future!

The Drop-In Center at Orangewood Foundation is a welcoming hub where young people – particularly those who have experienced foster care – can access critical resources and support. Located within the Orangewood Resource Center, the Drop-In Center provides meals, showers, laundry facilities, and access to caring staff who can help with housing, education, employment, and health services. It’s a safe space built on trust and connection, offering young adults the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges and work toward their goals.
