Madrinas y Padrinos Launch Party

September 10 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
We are excited to invite our community to the official launch: Introducing Madrinas y Padrinos for Orangewood, a vibrant new auxiliary group inspired by the Hispanic tradition of godparents as trusted guides, mentors, and pillars of the community.
Traditionally, in Hispanic culture Madrinas y Padrinos provide lifelong support, encouragement, and celebration through life’s major milestones. For the many youth at Orangewood who navigate the world without a supportive family structure, this connection is life changing. Together, we are bringing this powerful spirit of community and shared responsibility to the youth we serve, rooted in culture that empowers young people through meaningful mentorship, rich tradition, and true sense of belonging. Join us as we raise awareness for youth and young adults in foster care, experiencing homelessness, or at risk of trafficking.

Orangewood Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young people thrive as they transition to adulthood. As one of the leading providers of services for transition-aged youth and young adults formerly in foster care in Orange County, our mission is to prepare them to reach their greatest potential.

We offer comprehensive support through programs that focus on education, employment, housing, and health and wellness. Whether it’s helping a young adult earn their college degree, secure stable housing, or access mental health resources, our work is grounded in care, consistency, and community.

At Orangewood, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed—and we’re committed to walking alongside them as they build independent, fulfilling lives.
