Navigate the Coordinated Entry System (CES) and find stable housing
Housing
Are you 18 to 24 and experiencing homelessness?
Youth Engagement (YE) helps young people in Orange County navigate the Coordinated Entry System (CES) and find stable housing. Our team is here to support you every step of the way, from searching for housing to connecting with resources that fit your needs.

Support for Young People Navigating Housing Opportunities
CES is an Orange County program that matches people with housing opportunities based on their situations. There are two types of programs: the Individual Coordinated Entry System (ICES) and the Family Coordinated Entry System (FCES).
A housing match will be unique to your situation, but there are a few outcomes that are common in CES. CES Housing Matches may include the following below:
EMERGENCY REFERRALS
Bed reservations at shelters
RAPID RE-HOUSING
Supportive services and short-term help paying rent
HOUSING VOUCHERS
Find your own apartment
PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING
Onsite support and rental costs limited to 30-40% of your income
What Happens in Youth Engagement
We understand that finding a housing match through CES can take a long time. We walk with you through complicated housing processes so you feel empowered and supported every step of the way.

“
I used to feel unworthy of love or care. Mo and Lisa in the Orangewood Resource Center changed that for me. Orangewood Foundation is my home, and the staff are my family. This program literally changed my life. I have no words to explain how grateful I am.

Orangewood welcomed me with open arms and they’ve always been supportive and helpful. They aren’t afraid to push me in the right direction, and I’m grateful.

Receiving the scholarship was a testament that people believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.

I’ve been working hard to build a better life for myself. In just a month, I worked with the Orangewood Foundation team to get my California ID, permit, and driver’s license. Now I can drive to work and school, which makes my day a lot easier. Balancing work and school is tough, but I’m determined to make it.
