Become an Ambassador

Orangewood Foundation Ambassadors are philanthropic partners whose annual gifts of $1,000 or more support the Foundation’s efforts.  Ambassadors come from the business, government, education and philanthropic sectors and are among the “movers and shakers” in Orange County. Through their commitment to our mission and presence in the community, Orangewood Ambassadors help to spread the word about our important work with Orange County current and former foster youth, thereby providing even more youth with the opportunity to reach their greatest potential.

Orangewood Ambassadors are recognized in our annual report and with an invitation to our annual Ambassador Luncheon held each year in the fall. At this complimentary event, Ambassadors get a first look at our results from the prior fiscal year and a preview of the year ahead. The luncheon features a guest speaker (generally from the world of sports, business or entertainment) and includes the presentation of the General William Lyon Crystal Vision Philanthropy Award. The award is given to an individual who has given of their time and resources and who reflects the unending commitment to Orange County youth that has been demonstrated by our founding Board Chairman, General Lyon.
